about
Christian nielsen
Founder, Trident Mind
Born and raised by a mother addicted to alcohol and opioids, Christian spend his youth dreaming about escaping into another world....
The world that lays beneath the surface.
After a stint in the army he went abroad, and worked for 4 years professionally with scubadiving.
Upon returning to Denmark, he signed up for a commercial diver education with the Royal Danish Navy´s Diving School.
Just after finishing his education he was admitted to The Danish Police Academy, to complete 4 years of education as a policeofficer.
Years later he got diagnosed with work-related PTSD, and spent 3,5 years recovering.
He then got recruited by The Danish Navy Special Forces (The Frogman Corps / "Frømandskorpset" ).
He spent 6 years as a contractor / commercial diver / technician within a diving unit as a subject matter expert.
the police
Christian spent nearly a decade of policework, before he was diagnosed with work-related
Post Traumatic Stress.
During his time with the Danish Police Force he did patrol duty, riot control, personal protection and other operative related tasks.
Being diagnosed with work-related PTSD, he spent the next 3,5 years recovering both mentally as well as physically.
the danish navy special forces
One evening the phone rang......and the rest is history as they say.
That call changed my life in so many ways.
It was the Command Master Diver from the The Danish Navy Special Forces, also known as
The Frogman Corps ( Frømandskorpset ).
They wanted to hire me, because of my background with professional diving and as a policeofficer.
And so i spent the next 6 years working in a diving unit with a team of frogmen.
I got to do some many cool things, and meet so many fantastic people which i will never forget. Spent a lot of time on boats, diving, climbing, doing tech-things, inventing stuff and so much more.
Proud to have been a part of the team, and to have made a difference!
the fragmented mind
Through all the hardship recovering from PTSD, Christian never gave up. Instead he took notes along the journey.
Which treatment worked, and which did not.
He already had his mind set on getting well again, returning to a job, and use all his information to help others.
The idea for the "1% mindset" was born....
And the thought of writing a book to help others work through trauma and difficult times , started to rumble in his brain.
In October 2021 the book was published in Denmark in collaboration with Tybjerg Tekst og Foto
